Final Final Review

I think I mentioned that I'd ordered the last of the four reviews, from Independent Book Review. It was starting to feel a little ridiculous. I can't seem to market this like a regular person, but I will spend money on another review. Happily, it was a really fun one - the reviewer really seemed to engage with it and it is a starred review. All in all, I'm pleased and it's a good one to close that part of this process on.
My next project is to put together an electronic sell sheet, which will include the pull quotes from the reviews as well as the cover image, a bio, and all the sales info, and my plan is to send it out to libraries and maybe local bookstores as well. I can also finish designing a postcard, which I think will be a better thing to use as a leave-behind at bookstores.
In other good news, the book was selected to be part of a library bundle that PW Booklife offers out to libraries. This is similar (and may even be connected to) the Indie Author Project Select program, so that's two bundled offerings making their way to library buyers.
As is pretty clear in the book, I have always loved the idea of being found without necessarily having to do anything, haha, so the idea of the book in the stacks of your local library makes me very happy.
It's almost a year since publication, if you can believe that. I am determined to start writing something else in January, if not before. I have a lot of ideas in my head and some in my notebook, so hopefully it will come a bit more easily than I think. I need to make a habit of it. One book every six years is not the best schedule, even I can see that. :)
